Invisalign starts with a consultation at our Cicero practice. Our dentist will examine your gums and teeth during the consultation to determine whether Invisalign is right for you. We can also discuss your dental goals and any concerns you may have. This session includes digital scans of your teeth and impressions, which are essential for creating a customized treatment plan.

We will create an individual treatment plan that shows the evolution of your smile in 3D. This digital map looks great and lets you see your final results. It gives you an idea of the changes to your smile over time. Your dentist will design a plan to minimize discomfort and maximize aesthetics.

After your treatment plan is finalized, Invisalign uses modern manufacturing techniques to produce your customized aligners. These aligners are created from thermoplastic, which is strong but thin enough to make them virtually invisible. You will receive several sets of aligners, which you will wear for two weeks each. You will then receive the next set.

Central Dental Associates will require you to make regular visits throughout your Invisalign treatment. These appointments are necessary to monitor your progress and ensure the aligners fit and feel comfortable. If the treatment is progressing as planned, you'll receive your next pair of aligners during these checkups. This is also an opportunity to modify your treatment plan based on how your teeth react.

When you've worn all your aligners and achieved the desired result, the active phase of treatment is over. You'll have to wear a retainer to maintain the new position of your teeth. You will be given a custom-fitted retainer and instructions for wearing it. Your new smile will remain beautiful for life.
