We are fortunate to have a highly-trained and experienced periodontist on our staff, Dr. Ken Arrieta. A periodontist is a dentist specializing in treating diseases of gums and the teeth’s supporting structures.

Gum disease has two stages. The first is “gingivitis” which is marked by inflammation of the gums. The second, more advanced stage is “periodontitis,” involving inflammation deeper in the gums and supporting tissues. Periodontitis damages bone and other tissues and can lead to loss of all of the teeth.

With Dr. Arrieta’s help, we can expertly diagnose and treat patients with advanced gum disease. We provide a deep cleaning therapy called “scaling and root planing” to clean out plaque and infection under the gums. We then monitor patients afterwards to ensure periodontitis is gone for good.

With Dr. Arrieta’s help, we can save our patients from pain and tooth loss. If you suspect any problems with your teeth or gums, please consult with us to learn how we can help.

Do You Have Bleeding Gums?

  • View Video Transcription:

If your gums look like this, then you know that you need deep cleaning.

Hello, everyone. This is Dr. Shah from Central Dental Associates. Do you have bleeding gums, or do you suffer from having bad breath? It could be coming from the gum infection. So the gum infection comes from either not brushing and flossing properly. Or it could be not getting your teeth cleaned regularly.

If the gum infection continues, then it results in the bone loss, which would make your teeth feel loose and eventually you may end up losing your teeth.

So solution is very simple. It's a deep cleaning, which is very safe and the painless procedure. After that, the regular maintenance cleaning would control the gum infection. So if you want to know more about the deep cleaning or if you have questions, call our office at (708) 652-7575 to schedule your consultation.

Ramon's Before and After Care

Ramon was tired of eating with only front teeth. He couldn’t eat food he liked as he didn’t have any back molars to chew. He was also conscious about his smile and tried to hide his teeth as much as possible. After getting All on X implants, he could eat everything what he wanted and smile confidently.
